A Level Results Day
Congratulations to our Year 13 who collected their results after 2 years of hard work and dedication to their studies. Our students have shown remarkable determination throughout and today were rewarded for this work with their final grades.
Achieving some of the highest grades; Luke achieving A* A* A* which has enabled him to pursue a career in Medicine at Sheffield University; Josh achieved A* A* A and will also be heading to Sheffield to study History & Politics. Whilst it is always amazing to celebrate our highest achieving students, it is important to remember that every single grade is an achievement whether it is an A* or an E and for many of our students it is about achieving what they need to go on to the next step in their journey.
So many of our students choosing the university pathway have successfully gained places on their first choice of university studying a wide range of subjects including Zoology, Motor Sport Engineering, Creative Writing, Journalism, Linguistics, & Bio Medicine at universities that include Manchester, Warwick, Liverpool, Sheffield, Southampton, Salford and York.
Not all students are choosing university, a greater number are opting to follow the apprenticeship pathway. Lewis having achieved BBB, has successfully gained a place on a degree level apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying whilst others have chosen apprenticeships in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and even Child Care.
Speaking to Mr Smith, Headteacher, about the results this morning he said “ We are super proud of all the students and their hard work and commitment over the last 2 years. A level courses are very challenging and require a huge amount of dedication. We would like to wish all our students the very best of luck as they begin the next chapter in their lives.”
