KS4 TRILOGY
Science is a compulsory subject at GCSE but we offer two different routes.
Route 1:
This is the AQA Trilogy Dual Award course which is a combined science course which results in two GCSE grades at the end of year 11.
Route 2:
This is the AQA Triple Award course which is the three separate science course resulting in a GCSE in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the end of Y11.
Students who are in set 1 or 2 by the end of Y9 will usually follow the triple award route .
Students will be taught in ability groups based on their performance at KS3, sets 1 & 2 will be following the Triple Award course with sets 3-7 following the Trilogy Dual award course.
Students will have 6 lessons a week divided into 2 lessons per subject. They will get three pieces of homework per week, one per subject.
