Sam Fairweather performed on Saturday at the Inter-County Champs at Birmingham for 200m and long jump.10 Counties took part and Sam came 5th out of 17 in the 200m with a personal best of 24.05 seconds in foul conditions of rainy thundery showers. He achieved a personal best in long jump of 4.98m too. On Sunday at a YDL meet he achieved another personal best in the 200m of 24.00 seconds and in the 300m of 38.9 seconds. We are extremely proud of Sam to be competing at such a big event and can't wait to see how he gets on at the English Schools on Fri 10th and Sat 11th July 2015. Such a huge achievement to get there after just 1 year of training!
Will Fairweather also got 3 personal bests in 100m of 14.4 seconds, 200m of 28.9 seconds and long jump of 4.09m on Sunday. Well done to the Fairweathers!
