Navigating the Site
Each page features a drop-down menu system, allowing easy access to all pages of the site. Each page features a location bar showing exactly where you are on the site and giving quick access to pages higher up the hierarchy. At the top of the screen, along with the contact details, is a search box (powered by Atomz.com) giving a simple way to find the information you want.
The side panel on the right of each page gives access to downloads and web links related to the current page, often with a calendar or latest news stories. Departmental sections also a departmental navigation bar on the left of the page, allowing access to every resource available on the site for each subject.
On various pages of the site, files are made available to download. These range from specifications for exam courses to worksheets and course details for individual subjects as well as letters home to parents. Generally, you should right-click on the link and select 'Save Target As...' to download to your own computer, although some files, particularly PDF files, can be viewed online by simply clicking the link as usual.
Most documents are provided as PDF files. The software required to view these files is Adobe Reader, available for free at Adobe.com. We strongly encourage you to download and install this software to make the most of the site.
Some files are available in Microsoft Word format, particularly those files that are available for editing. You need Microsoft Word, or compatible software, installed to edit these files. However, you can view and print them using the free Microsoft Word Viewer software, available from Microsoft.com. Similarly, Microsoft Powerpoint presentations are viewable using the free Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer software and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets are viewable using the free Microsoft Excel Viewer software.
