Meden Student Ty Mason Celebrates Russian A Grade
Meden student Ty Mason is celebrating after gaining an A grade in GCSE Russian. Ty, who is the first ever student to take a GCSE in Russian, chose to study the language as part of the enrichment programme and loved it so much that he wanted to take a GCSE in it. Enrichment sessions give Meden students the opportunity to try new opportunities and gain new skills and Russian is one of many options they can chose for the session which takes place once a week on a Wednesday afternoon. The sessions, which were introduced last September have been a great success and this massive achievement by Ty shows just what students can do.
Miss Andrea Smith who runs the Russian enrichment said "I am so proud of Ty as Russian is not only an unusual but very difficult language to learn and he has had to work extremely hard outside of the session to be able to take on this GCSE subject. His A grade is a massive achievement and Ty should be immensely proud of himself!"
Ty's A grade in Russian takes his total to 10 GCSE grades at A*/A. What an amazing achievement, well done Ty. Поздравляю (congratulations)
